Welcome to Development

The Group develops new homes in over 30 Local Authority areas from Stoke-on-Trent in the north to Aylesbury in the south. The development programme is delivered by two regionally based teams led by Regional Heads of Development, Chris Holland for the south region and Amelia McCann in the north. The Regional Teams are supported by a central team which co-ordinates programme delivery, deals with process and procedure issues, manages the wider Bromford Development Partnership and deals with technical innovation.
We have experience in a wide range of mixed tenure housing, including complex urban schemes, S106 housing with house builders, large estate regeneration, rural housing and specialist supported housing projects.
We have a proven track record in building homes that our customers want to live in and that stand the test of time. We do this through developing sustainable mixed tenure housing based on a number of factors:
- We focus on building the right type of property every time matching need and demographic change.
- We ensure flexibility of use through innovative internal and external design.
- Safety and security for our customers is our top priority throughout the development process.
- We combine high quality scheme design with environmental considerations such as energy efficiency, use and recycling of natural resources and sustainable materials and landscaping.
We are a lead Investment Partner with the Homes and Communities Agency and together with our partners, expect to deliver around 2750 new homes for the 2008-11 programme.
We are committed to high quality design and producing sustainable homes and are enthusiastically adopting the Code of Sustainable Homes. We are developing Modern Methods of Construction and innovative designs via the JPI framework. Examples of our award winning schemes are Cross Street, Wolverhampton and Rea Valley, Birmingham.
We have entered into a Framework Agreement whereby we work with a number of the country's leading developers. For mixed tenure schemes we strive to achieve 'tenure blindness' on all of our schemes.
Our objective is to retain better control over the design, quality and delivery of schemes we undertake whilst enabling us to create effective partnerships with both the public and private sector.
Our track record of developing sustainable and affordable housing is based upon our commitment to needs-led development, extensive project management skills, community involvement and residential consultation and effective partnering. We have specialist teams in project management, building and quantity surveying, property finance and business development, sales and marketing and an in-house construction team. We are a first choice partner for many private developers.
